Nice idea - "bliss" with the chalk cupcake top and bliss again on the top of the cold food display (totally blown out) with the same cupcake top in a large photos above it. All behind our instructor, which was rude of me now that I think about that. The room was much too dark for the depth of field and detail I needed to get.
We started here, at the corner of Jones and 11th.
We started on Jones. "Go take some interesting photos." Hmm, then came the hard part - put your lens on Manual!
This one was supposed to focus on the geraniums and the one below it on the holey leaf. The one above, I didn't get the focus right (manual indeed!) The one below works, I think.
Short depth of field with just holey leaf.
Another good idea gone bad! I don't know where to focus to get a sharp reflection. Worse than that, I did crop off some of the bottom because it was blown out.
Strange little puddle - was trying to catch an occasional drop that was splashing. Failed.
Wow, compare this one to the next. I decided to let photoshop decide what to do with this one- just curious to know- and apparently it stretched out the exposure range a bunch! The next one is not processed except for reducing the image size.
Comments above.
Cropped off a sign on the left and lost symmetry. Still kinda like it.
Why install an elbow there? Hmmm..??
New assignment: shoot the old market for an ad...
This one NOT for an ad, except maybe for smokers.
Again with the window reflection - the tree and wall are on the other side of the road. If done correctly, I wouldn't have to explain!
Cars nicely in focus...I know what I did wrong on this one.
My attempted long distance focus ended up on the M's Pub sign! Maybe an ad for the restaurant? Cellist not bad, BTW.
Telephoto lens used - I tried to hold it still!
