Switzerland, Aug 2010, Day 1

DAY 1: After arrival at the Zurich airport and a train ride into the city, we got on the train for Zermatt.

took a wee nap..

and arrived at our nice hotel room with the wide angle view windows!

The view of the Matterhorn from our hotel window was amazing

So we immediately got on the Gornergratbahn cog railway up the mountain.

and spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the fantastic views!

On the train ride down, I could look back to see the structure that protects the train along the mountainside

We continued to take photos of the Matterhorn as the sun was setting
